I'm a pro at procrastinating. Wait, no I'll procrastinate tomorrow...Well see, there I go again. So, instead of letting myself slip out of a good routine I've decided I'm going to move my treadmill.
Its current residence is in our Teenie girl's room. She won't miss it. But it was awfully cute to see her want to come in to see me. She drug her daddy around that one morning trying to tell me hi as many times as she felt she could get away with! It was the sweetest.
Back to the point at hand: need motivation. I just have to figure out where I am going to put the dern thing so that I can use it, it stays out of the way, and I can see the TV to keep up with something and not realize I'm working hard on it.
Mr. Husband!!!! This is where you come in. I need some muscle to make this happen.

L'aissez les bons temps....what????
You want me to do what? Okay, okay. Well, yea I guess I can do that.
Okay, so that's not how the conversation went. It actually went like this:
Friend: "So there's this half marathon in New Orleans on March 4th."
Me: "Absolutely. Let's do it!"
Friend: "Awesome!"
In my mind I'm thinking of all the great food I want to eat while we are down there. I have family there. I know the goodness that is Cajun food. They use buttah!!!! Not butter to all you plain folks. BUTTAH! The substance of life in Creole families.
But that's not what my focus should be. My focus should be the 13.1 miles ahead of me. But how in the world am I going to get there? I'm not a "runner." I'm a walker. But, I have between now and March 4th to figure that out.
I've looked into different websites and methods. I started on my treadmill since our weather is bipolar. So far, I've logged two hours (on two different days) in my training book. Yep. Slow and steady.
I figured if I started this thing you guys would peer pressure me into keeping up with the whole thing. I mean, I want to be a runner and want to do this right and well and take it a step further and do a FULL marathon. But again, I'm not a runner like my friend is.
BUT I AM GOING TO DO THIS! I swear I am going to do this and do it well. No whimping out for me. And there might even be a tattoo to commemorate this event. Okay, probably not, but I was on a roll there...
Well, here's to the road that lies ahead of me. I will conquer this!
